Hi.
What is the easiest way (software) to transcode Mpeg audio (mpa) from 44kHz to 48kHz. I've tried DVD-lab's Audio Transcoder but it isn't working on all my files... sometimes it says "can't access file" "if such file exists check if it is not in use" - and I'm sure it's not.

For example such file (in DVD-fab a get the right mpv file but when i try to transcode mpa 44 to 48 I get above errors):

file_name.m2v (it is a video clip)
File Length : 00:03:35:12

Video Info :
Frame Size : 480 x 576
Frame Rate : 25.00 (fps)
Video Codec Name : MPEG2 Video Stream(ISO/IEC 13818-2:1996)
Interlacing : Upper/Top Field First
Video Aspect Ratio : 4 : 3

Audio Info :
44100 Hz 16 Bits Stereo
Audio Codec Name : MPEG Audio Stream(ISO/IEC 11172-3:1993, 13818-3:1996)

Please help...

Headac3he will convert your audio easily assuming the files are not corrupted somehow. It's free too.

And what happens if you simply de-multiplex the MP2 from the MPG, before transcoding it with DVD Lab? Do you receive again that error?

More, you shouldn't see 'audio info' on a MPV. Won't it be that the output file's name = input file's name (usually DVD Lab adds a _48 kHz, though)?

I'm not sure about the 44.1 kHz -> 48 kHz transcoding capability of HeadAC3he, though. Try FFMPEG GUI. It's free, too.

OK, maybe I don't get it ;( Is the "mp2" same as "mpa" and "m2v" same as "mpv" for DVD-lab (and same for any other application)?

And no, I'm not receiving any errors when de-multiplexing mpv from mpeg. I can see video info.
Then it comes to de-mplex mpa from mpeg. After a message "Run Audio Transcode now". I hit Transcode button and there I'm getting errors mentioned above.

Also, on my compiled dvd, when I run one of the video clips added to the project (picture is fine) I'm getting some audio problems. I can hear some clicks and hiss. Any ideas why?? All files are the same:

Audio Info :
44100 Hz 16 Bits Stereo
Audio Codec Name : MPEG Audio Stream(ISO/IEC 11172-3:1993, 13818-3:1996)

or

(GSPOT)
MPEG-1 Layer 2
44100Hz CBR 224 kb/s total (2 chnls)

Is it because of the transcoding them to 44@192kb/s ?? Shouldn't than all of them be affected ?? Not only few of them... And how about AC3?? What is a avarage size of a single file?? (mpa i ~4-6+ MB)
