Ok I know media is discussed a lot. I read the topic above and viewed the site it was taken from.

The local Wal Mart has Sony and Maxell CDs.

Isnt Sony 1st tier as to reliablity for media? But I also read to stay away from Media made from Taiwan... which the sony they have there is from Taiwan... so its said to be good but Taiwan is bad? So I was just wondering how good is Sony from Taiwan.

Also they have Maxell from Taiwan too... I think I read Maxell was good or at least decent but im not sure.

So are the Sony pretty good or just not worry about it and order some Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens online?

Order some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden online from a reputable site such as - http://www.svp.co.uk or http://www.supdermediastore.com

They are half decent, and are even worse if made in Taiwan, your best bet is genuine Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

Made In Japan on those brands would be good media
Made In Taiwan is not so good.

shop at a better store like Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, Office Depot or something where they will have more choices and most likely better media
