Hi,
I am considering one of these,
I wanted to know if it supports booktyping (do all Liteon's support booktyping?)
Also if anyone rates it as a burner.
Thnx in advance

Thanks mate,
Yes I've seen the 1655 and read a lot about it, but for reasons of hiding my purchases from the missus ,(who works in a bank & isn't blonde), I often like to buy over the counter and I've only come accross the 1655 online.
I'm in U.K.
What do you think to this lightscribe malarky ??, I reckon i'd use it just for specials. About 20 mins for burning the label is it?

Yes, it takes around 20 minues to burn a label ... the media is overpriced and very limited as to what brands are available
Also I'm not sure just how long they will last since the same laser is used to burn the label and write to the disc
Pesonally, I don't use it for my backups .. I only use it for the discs I produce for my business

Personally, I like the Lite-ON SHM-165H6S. Not only does it do Lightscribe, but it burns DVD-RAM media as well, which has proved quite useful for me in the few weeks I've had it so far.

Thanks for the help and the links provided were very useful.
I'm happy to go with the Liteon. Although I must admit, if I could get away with it I'd have the Benq.
