Ape escape 3 driving me crazy, help please

Me and my 3 years old son were trying to capture the first monkey, in the first stage, for over 1 hour!!!!

How do I do it? everytime I click the gadget button, the net doesn't do anything, it just cycles through questions marks. Nothing seem to happen.

What sbout those cookies? we are really stock, but I heard that this game is really fun, so I want to know how to capture the monkey step by step please.

From my experience you use the right analog stick to first zap the monkey with your tazer club, then you switch to the net and use the right analog stick to catch it. There is alot in the ape escape games that requires the use of the right analog stick, with swinging motions on it. Hope that helps.

Ok, that was good, but what is the tazer club?

I only have one stick with a net at the end, and whenever I press the x button to attack, I get question marks.

Are there 2 tools to use? a tazer club and a net?

You don't press the X button to attack. You use the right analog stick from what I remember. If you push the stick foward it will swing the net over your head, and any swinging motion in a right or left motion will swing the net appropriaty. And one of the other buttons will give you your equipment list.
