TMPGenc 2.5 has a plugin (QTReader.vfp)whic, once it's copied to TMPGenc's directory, becomes automatically enabled (check options --> environmental settings --> VFAPI plug-in) and allows it to load .MOV files.
Once you can load .MOV input, you can convert them to VCD MPEG-1, SVCD MPEG-2, DVD MPEG-2 + 48 kHz WAV.
If you choose DVD, you need to convert the 48 kHz WAV to a smaller format, for instance, with FFMPEG GUI (MP2 224 kbps or AC3 384 kbps [obviously, only if you have surround speakers) are the most used).
The bitrate of the audio will be inserted, toghether with the movie's length, as input of a DVD bitrate calcuator (e.g. DVTool), to choose a proper (average) bitrate.
The only drawback is that TMPGenc is very slow, when it encodes movies in 'multipass VBR' Rate Control Mode. But, since MOV files does't have a big quality, I suggest you to use a plain CBR encoding (the default one, which comes from the wizard. You'll just have to insert a proper bitrate value (kbits/s), in [Other settings]+[Video], toghether with motion search precision = 'highest quality (very slow)') for your DVD movies. It will save you a lot of time and won't worsen the quality in a detectable way.
emember: garbage in = garbage out.
I hope this is what you look for...
