Codebreaker 9.3 and swap magic 3.6 : Enable cheats on backups

I have an original codebreaker disc. I would like to use the cheats on my ps2 backups.

First, I enabled the cheats for Devil May Cry 3 (non-special edition) and then I hit start game. I put in Swap Magic 3.6 and let it boot. I then inserted Devil May Cry 3 (special edition) and used the special boot to boot the game. The codes do not work.

Is this because I have a special edition? or is it because Im booting the game wrong? Either way please let me know the way on how to enable cheats on backup games using codebreaker.

i dont think that dmc3 codes gonna work on dmc3 special.
by the way, how do you get backup games to work on codebreaker 9+ ?

He explained the method for using cheats on backed up games in his post, just that he used cheats that were hacked on a different game, so they didnt work.
