Installed the Xapter - Installed the Xecuter3ce - flashed the BIOS - didn't have one bit of hassle doing it. But now I can't get AID to boot from DVD!? I disabled X3 Auto Boot and it still boots into X3 Live.

I used FTP to put Evox on the C: drive and that boots fine. I put AID in the drive and it goes straight into Evox. I have gone through every menu I can find in X3 Live and Evox - I see no ability to enable/disable DVD booting.

When the DVD is in the drive and I go into FlashFXP I can browse the D: drive and see the contents.

Also I had a spiderchip installed prev and I had already played about with AID - formatting and installing different dashboards - so I know the disks are fine.

Any ideas?? Cos I am starting to get really annoyed.

So far I have got Evox installed and booting. XMBC installed and booting. Evox says D: No Disc - if I put AID in I get D: Init/Checking then D: Game. In XBMC if I go into My Programs I can see the DVD and I can browse it.

It sounds like it is spinning the DVD up during boot - when the Xecuter rocks my box appears - then instead of continuing to the point where the big green X fades off and the AID menus appears Evox boots!?

I am out of ideas now - as all the hardware is (appears) working I can only think I am missing a bit of software or a setting in the BIOS.

Also in Evox - it has the Chip/BIOS as unknown - should that say something else? I am sure it did on my other chip - it had the BIOS version I think.

Damn it all to hell. How simple a fix was that.

I had to put default.xbe into the DVD boot line in the X3 Live setup.

Didn't see that mentioned in any tutorials! It's not that obvious really, suprised it hasn't caused more issues. Ahh well you live and learn.
