yO !
1. Put in your AR Max disc and when it loads up choose expert mode. Go down the list and choose your game and start with codes as you normally would.
2. When the AR Max asks for the disc PRESS EJECT and put in your Swap Magic DVD
3. When the Swap Magic asks for a disc SWAP using your slidecard or fliptop for the DVDLoader disc
4. When DVDLoader tells you to swap using EA method you PRESS EJECT and put your Swap Magic DVD back in
5. When Swap Magic asks for a disc SWAP using your slidecard or fliptop.
This should load your back up games with the cheat codes, enjoy

from my experience the modbo chips wont run the games from AR Max for whatever reason, you'll have to get swap magic and a fliptop or ghost switch (slim) or a slide card for the older ones
www.ps2fliptop.com
i ordered mine from there, they use paypal so you can use your bank account if you dont have a credit card... hope that helps

btw people i gave hypnocil a PM with some stuff to help him. so i guess it worked? and the modbo chips are a clone of matrix infinity so the modbo chips might work like the matrix infinity.

this is the only method i know.
Using AR Max To Load Back Up Games With Codes
you will need Swap Magic
DVDLoader
http://www.exploitstation.com/index.php?page=downloads http://ps2burns.host.sk/tools.html you burn the DVDLoader to a DVD
and your AR Max disc of course
Note: if you are loading a CD game or have an older V4 or below PS2 you may need to use CDLoader instead of DVDLoader, and you may need to use the CD version of Swap Magic and not the DVD version.

Ok i have been trying to get my swap magic and action replay to work properly but no luck so far and i am asking for some help.
Here's my dilemma, everyone in the forums i have read have useful tips for Playstation versions 1-10 but noone seems to talk about versions newer than them, the Slimlines.
I have a V13 Silver Satin PS2 slimline, Swap Magic CD + DVD and Action Replay Max (NTSC) edition.
Firstly i load Swap Magic CD followed by Action Replay Max. I then remove the plastic tool that makes my PS2 think that my lid is closed so i can insert Swap Magic DVD, otherwise the AR Max CD will keep on spinning without stopping, and try to load the cheats making the AR Max think that my Swap Magic DVD is a game when in fact it is only a means to then load the proper game.
Trouble is, when the game should be loading after Swap Magic DVD all i get is a black screen and a scratching noise that doesnt seem to stop until i switch the console off.
Could anyone please tell me what i am doing wrong as this is totally frustrating me.
Please note that my PS2 is a PAL edition too. You might be wondering why i would then have an NTSC AR Max version, i just like playing NTSC games.
Any help would be truly appreciated as no forum i have encountered so far deal with slimlines at all.

Before i forget, i have also tried CDLoader.elf as well as Cog Swapping in between the Swap Magic boots and they dont seem to work.
I do not remember having such a hard time with my previous slimline version 12 been so difficult at all. Sadly that PS2 is no longer with us due to overheating caused by early stage mod-chips.

i don't see you offering up any words of wisdom.
i mentioned it because some cheap clone chips like Modbo may not work with cheat discs so he may have to search other methods in order to load back ups with cheats.

i am thinking of buying action replay max,
can anyone tell me how the multi region DVD feature works on the disc,
do i have to do anything to my ps2, before putting the disc in for multi region dvd's,
or do i just have to put the Action replay max disk in, and then just take it out and put the dvd in?
Please Reply A.S.A.P.

I don't know why all this fuss over loading Ar Max with codes using the DVDloader. The Swap 3.+ renders the use of the dvdloader. Now What you really need and this is all you need!
This was and is working on a V4 PS2 and Swap Magic 3.6 - My 2.0 has a crack and won't load.
1.) Backup Game - or - Actual Game
2.) Swap magic 2.0, 3.3, 3.6 - Either one
3.) A CD Copy or DVD copy of Ar Max Evo or Download this one. Max Media Loaded with all the updated codes as of 5/04/2006 http://ts.searching.com/torrent/726204/MAX_MEDIA_NTSC_CD_DVD_UPDATED
The Ar Max evo above is integrated with cdloader. No other Extra disc's are needed.
How to Play with cheats, And be immortal! hahaha
This guide is for the use of Game backup and Ar Max with cdloader integration backup. Actual Swap magic is needed.
1.) Load in Swap magic, Waite for screen
2.) Swap out for the Above Ar Max evo, Press X
3.) Scroll down D-Pad to where it says RESET IOP: At second time.
4.) Using D-Pad change to RESET IOP: Always - Press X
5.) Press X on the Cdloader screen.
Note: With this ISO. I made it with 2 other Menu Selections. HD Advanced v1 & USB Advanced
6.) Press X on the MaxMedia Menu selection. -or- AR Max evo. Waite for screen. might take 20secs.
7.) Press X on the Expert Mode. Waite for codes to load.
8.) Choose your Weapons. I mean game and codes. Press start
9.) Press X - Start game with codes. Waite for game save and Loading game - Do not change the disc or take it out!
STOP
Now this is where every one thinks they need to change the disc to Swap magic and then to DVDloader. THIS is not true. You do not need to change the disc at this time!
10.) I dare you to Press X again. hahah j/k You need to press X Again - Do not change the disc or take it out!
Now you should be back to the CDloader black menu screen. NO need to Reset IOP at this time.
11.) Press X At the CDloader Black menu Screen. Waite for the Blue screen. www.swapmagicfix.com/cdloader2.jpg
Now is when you change disc
12.) Eject the CD/DVD. Place in Swap Magic
13.) Press X - Waite for Red CD/DVD screen www.swapmagicfix.com/cdloader3.jpg
14.) Swap it out at this time for the Backup Game.
15.) Press X
Be the Immortal and play the game the way you want to play it. hahaha. j/k just play the game now. You should be all set with Cheats in hand.
