i dont have Swap Magic 3.6, but i did download it, and it came with both CD and DVD version of it with the ELF files in them. 1 question is that if you port the Swap Magic to the HD will it load correctly, or will i need to change the mode. IM stumped ive pretty much tried almost anything.

so far ive tried...

1. loading the DVD ISO version on the PS2 hardrive using HDloader, just before used the SMDVD i put the backup in the CD try(trying to mimic the flip top without having to actually open or press the CD tray) didnt work, it froze.

2. the same as 2 but i tried changing the mode (HD loader kill) didnt work, it froze again.

3. downloaded the version 2.0 of Swap Magic and the screen turned pink, THEN froze.

4.last i tried the CD version... same results.

FYI
i didnt press X, i read thats for normal booting, i pressed square for special boot. and nothing.

IF someone could please help me or if someone already did this and was succesful please give me pointers, i really need to figure out how this works. the games or backups i used so far are two that have been giving people issues. "Rule of Rose" and " Kingdom Hearts 2" trying to go around either the Jap boot, OR that Gummi ship glitch. fixed the jap, just not the gummi part :( so if anyone could help please!! i need it.

you cant download swap magic and expect it to load properly on a dvd or a hard drive...you need the orginal

what im trying to do is figure out a way, for those who have KH2 to not even have the original but get through the Gummi ship part. ive tried everything to burning with DVD Decrypter at x1 to loader older versions of Swap Magic, its extremely difficult but im trying all corners, Any ideas?

How come swap magic wont work properly if it is downloaded and burnt why ?

you most likely need the ELF file thats soppose to go with it, if you have something like "ELF loader" you can boot the CD from a MC hack, but my problem with that is i dont have a FLIP TOP so thats out of the question.

hmmm... couldnt someone make an ELF file for KH2? in retro spect it should work, if the ELF file could run CDs that normaly wouldnt, why not a copied game?
