i just read online that microsoft is planing to come out with a chip upgrade for the 360 which leaves us 360 owner with the same old 360 the new chip is suppose to keep the 360 cooler and make it a little faster man if i would of known this sooner i would of waited to get it now im suck what do u guys think has any one heard any thing

yeh it just makes it cooler, ps2 did the same thing by releasing the slim ps2 although im not sure what exactly that was supposed to be doing other than look better becasue my slim ps2 broke just like my other two regular ps2's. Ms has great customer relations from what ive seen

my mums new BF, has had to buy a PS2 6 times. for his 4 kids. because the first 5 broke. and 3 of them were b/c of defect lasers.
i found that out today when having a convo with him this morning.
he said then he bought an xbox ages ago. after the 2nd PS2. and its still works fine today.
lol. well that explains sum@ bout reliability to me.
Don't judge the consoles by specs, more isnt always better, espec in PS3 specs.i know the truth, ask if u wanna know.......
Do not compete without valid correct technicality on your terms of the argument.

@truthman,
im loving hearing that someone else besides me had problems with their ps2's ( i mean sorry that money had to be spent by ur mum's new bf and all) but its just like everytime i mention that the ps2 had quality issues and that their lasers burnt out people were just like "i have never heard of that sony is great and the 360's overheat". MADE MY DAY...APPRECIATE MY BELIEFS BEING CONFIRMED

ya i know i figure as much, but errrrrrrrrrrrrrr , they better do some kind of massss recal, dont care if it cost them millions...... I want what i payed for a working 360. :)

if your system is overheating then try to elevate or get teh nyko fan. if its stilla problem then call MS its covered under warranty and form what ive heard tehy CS is amazing. although elevating my system saveds me a 3 of my friends it should save u but u said " u want what u paid for,a working xbox 360" so im not sure what is wrong with your system but i would hope that u have tried one of those two methods of rectifying your problem if ur system is overheating before just giving up

I got the nyko fan, i just havent put it on b/c i havent receivd it back from M$. But i also had one of thoes laptop cooling pads under the 360 and a huge fan over it. So i pretty much had it covered fan wise. But ok i'll try elevating it to.

take 4 soda bottle lids and place them under each of the non skid rubbers on the bottom of the 360 combined with the use of the Nyko Intercooler and the 360 will be in excellent NON-OVERHEATING playability

i just bought a really kick ass stand from k-mart for 12 bucks that's made of wire and has a lil wire drawer under it, perfect size for a 360 and noproblems of overheating or anything like it. plus it doesn't look dumb like skoal cans or pop lids
