hello... Can somebody please help me on how to rebuild godfather. i tried rebuilding it but im still getting the skips. i used isobuster and cdgenps2. i heard that it contains dummy files but i dont know which is which and how to remove it. i just wanna know which ones are the dummy files. if you please send me a step by step procedures on how to rebulid i would really appreciate it.

i rented the PAL version and there were no dummy files.

I just done a normal rebuild and added the volume information carefully in CDVDGen and it worked.


also I had rebuilt correctly on my first try, but burnt onto Maxell -R's and it was still skipping.

Then i got some sony +r's and booktyped to DVD-ROM and it works great.

p.s dummy files are usualy called "dummy.dat". to remove them:

-you just extract the iso

-overwrite the dummy files with a file you create in notepad and just press the space bar once (to create a byte of daya) then overwrite the original dummy.dat

-rebuild in in CDVDGen

-play

I don't think the godfather had any empty files in it, but when you rebuild it with ExPERT, without having to dummy files and link stuff, you still get an ISO that's about 1GB smaller than the original.
I rebuilt it using ExPERT....skipped the optional steps (the ones with the linking and dummying etc.) and burned onto a TDK -R DVD and it works fine. Maybe the isobuster/cdgen rebuild works differently. What was the size differnce between the original ISO and the rebuilt ISO?
