I've downloaded about 20 video and audio files with eMule, and they have very, very low or nearly no audio! And this is with any media player I try to use. I don't know why the files are downloading without the audio. It's getting pretty frustrating, because I've found some very good stuff, and I'd like to hear it already! Any help greatly appreciated!

I can certainly guarantee you that it has nothing to do w/ the files and everything to do w/ you.

Up the volume in your audio properties.

Turn up your speakers.

Update your codecs.

Make sure your speakers aren't plugged into an auxilliary line-out jack.

I guess I should have clarified. Every file on my computer that already existed, some of which were downloaded from various sites, plays fine. Yes, the speakers are turned up... lol... and they aren't plugged into the vacuum cleaner hose or anything. Everything is connected properly. Everything has always played fine until I started using eMule. I've made no hardware changes. Yes, I'm a new eMule user, and it has been, specifically, the files I've gotten via eMule that won't play properly. Audio is fine with everything else. ......You mentioned updating codecs. What's the best way to do that?
