I'd say get a proper modchip (Matrix Inifnity, DMS 4 Pro or better)installed, saves you the hassle of using a fliptop/slidecard/slimtools or whatever and swapping discs every time.
hmm, i prefer swap magic and hdadvance. More or less i lost 2 ps2's due to the modchip being installed slighly off. I gave up and just moved to swap magic 3.6, it was great for about 4 months, but then i moved to hdadvance later on, due to wanting me to store games on a hard drive. More or less i enjoy the super fast load up speeds of the hdd, its way faster then a normal cd drive can go. Its always worth the putting in of the hd advance 3.0 dvd in for each game you want to play, after all at the end you can store 30 games into one small 120 gb hdd. Also the hdadvance is very cheap compared to a top mod chip, at oleast it used to be. I got mine for 24.99, but i just checked and the store i bouight it from, which is http://www.consoleasia.com is having a sale on it for $17.99, that is a killer deal. Thats my opinon.
