Has anyone tried AoA copy quality when compressed from DVD9 movie only? And when split to twp DVD5, does it retain original quality?
What about Apollo, is it stable?

... let's get this out of the way ... be careful when cross-posting basically the same questions/problems ...

It seems to me cynn, that the only way you're going to be happy with the copies that you produce is to use a DL disc .. that way you can get an EXACT copy of the source disc ...

There really is no simple program that splits a DVD-9 to 2 DVD-5 discs .. there are quite a few that will accomplish this but most require a learning curve ... You also will need more than one program in all instances ... You will need either AnyDVD, DVD43 DVD Decrypter or DVD FabDecrypter to defeat the evil CSS monster ... then you'll need at least one more program to (in some cases rip) encode and burn ...

Maybe what you need to do is to read up a little on the set up and use of DVD Rebuilder, it is after all, the BEST package at backing up DVDs when maximum quality is an issue ...

Go to the following link and be prepared to spend some time investigating ...  http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/97052

I hope that this has been of some help to you ...

Oh, yeah, your point of this thread ... I talk to lots of people at several sites dedicated to DVD/CD reproduction .. I haven't heard of anyone that uses AoA or ApolloDVD for what that's worth ...

Ok, I will go to the link to learn rebuilder if you say I can ge best reproduction this way because quality is a real issue for me. BTW, I can't get the DL disk, in my country, it's ridiculously high like $30per pc and I burn 3 copies of the same movie on 3 different media plus a back up on computer to ensure no accidental loss thru computer crash or bad media. Thks.
