I've been all over these forums and many others including maxconsole etc. and each time that I need instructions for a particular game I have to look all over the place and piece together the info. So I think it would help out many others if we get together and create an official thread with instructions for each game specifically. I know there are many other threads out there that help to accomplish this same task, however, a centralized thread with specific info for each game including detailed step by step instructions is the goal here. So without further ado I will start off by listing the two most recent games that I have been playing. I hope that all of you will contribute and then I will cut and paste your info to the top of the post with credits due.

GTA Liberty Stories
by Sniper78

***Reminder This is full version no 10 minute limit***

Ok first I used YAUIS to shrink the 1.16gb iso from my UMD to about 836mb. Get it here http://www.pspsaves.info/download.php?view.102

Open the program and just drag the iso into the first screen. Click on the bottom right pad iso, then click shrink and wait. The new iso will be saved to where the original iso was.

Now go download UMDgen here: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/194 just have it on hand you'll need it later.

Now go here and install this tutorial wicked easy to follow: http://tinyurl.com/rotwg You'll have to go through the rapidshare crap but it's just all clicking. Don't worry it's all there.

Now just follow this and when I put the iso back together I used UMDgen and when both extracted iso files were dragged into UMDgen ready to be rebuilt. All I did was have the PSP_Game folder selected in blue and just hit file save and that rebuilt my iso. This is the first time using that program and thats all I did to rebuild the iso.

The tutorial here http://tinyurl.com/rotwg thats already posted pasted just again to tell you it will lead you into everything I explained.

Post problems or questions I will probably respond tommorow afternoon, or if other people can help cool.
Enjoy....

Untold Legends 2 The Warrior's Code
by Kafluke

Initially I tried many ways to get this to work using Dax Ziso loader. I wanted to fit more on my mem card and I'm a big fan of the Loader. I did eventually get it to work but it was very choppy using several different settings so I settled for good ol UMD Emulator with RunUMD hack so that's the method I will explain here.

1. Obtain your ISO. Legally
2. You have to shrink the ISO to fit on your mem card. I usually use DaxZiso to shrink it but this time it didn't work for me. There are many different tutorials out there for shrinking your ISO so I wont go into all the details here. I used UMD ISO shrinker v0.3b. Its a no brains solution so it worked for me! ;) You can get it here http://konsolenprofis.de/downloads/download.php?id=1104
3. Download and install UMD Emulator v0.8c RunUMD Edit. Get it here http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/427
4. Move your ISO to the ISO folder on the root of your mem card.
5. At this point other tutorials would tell you to create your own "X" folder using RunUMD but that never worked for me and locked up. I found that I could download the "X" folder for Syphon Filter and use that. Get it here http://www.ps2nfo.com/modules/Downloads/userfile.php?id=914 Extract the x folder and put it in the root of your mem card.
6. Put any UMD in the PSP. I like to use the demo UMD (irrelevant but kind of comical in its own way that I use a demo disk to play legitimate ISO's) ;)
7. Fire up UMD Emulator v.08c and make sure that the settings look like this:

CPU/Bus speed :333/166 MHz
ISO emulation mode :Load RunUMD
Disctype ISO :game
Disctype UMD :game
Updater icon :remove
Use boot.bin :off
Regioncode override :off
Regioncode game :regionfree
Regioncode Video :regionfree
Regioncode audio :regionfree
Flash0 emulation :off
Flash1 emulation :off

Then highlight your iso listed below and hit x. This will load a funny looking screen with some garbled picture in the background. This is the RunUMD screen. Do not hit o at this point or it will override the x folder that you put on there earlier. Hit x to load the game. Voila. You're in business.

Syphon Filter
by PS2NFO

Tools needed
Download this file http://www.ps2nfo.com/modules/Downloads/userfile.php?id=914

This is a simple NO UMD FiX by Reborn, please NOTE once done the files consume 1.06GB:

1) Extract Syphon_Filter_Dark_Mirror_USA_READNFO_PSP-pSyPSP to a folder on your PC using iSOBuster or similar utility.

2) From your original PSP_GAME folder move ICON0.PNG, ICON1.PNG, PARAM.SFO, PIC1.PNG, and SND0.AT3 to the SYPHONFI folder from this pack.

3) Next, from your original PSP_GAME\USRDIR move all of the .PMF, .SUB, and .INI files (which will total 63 files, 385 MB (403,840,089 bytes)) over to the SYPHONFI\USRDIR folder from this pack.

4) Now, from your original PSP_GAME\USRDIR move the GAMEDATA and LOCAL_INI folders to the SYPHONFI\USRDIR folder from this pack.

5) Finally, from your original PSP_GAME\USRDIR\IRX folder move the following 9 files to the SYPHONFI\USRDIR\IRX folder (which already is included with some files in it) from this pack, ignore the rest:

IFHANDLE.PRX
IOPRP300.IMG
MEMAB.PRX
PSPNET.PRX
PSPNET_ADHOC.PRX
PSPNET_ADHOC_AUTH.PRX
PSPNET_ADHOCCTL.PRX
PSPNET_APCTL.PRX
PSPNET_INET.PRX

6) Now follow the instructions as normal from the included NFO file:

Copy all folders contained in this release to the root of your memory stick.

Now boot using RunUMD.

NOTE: Although this is labeled a "NO UMD" release, that just means you don't need the actual SF: DM UMD in the drive to play the game, however, you will need a UMD in the drive to run it (any UMD game should work).

Worms Open Warfare
by Kafluke

Follow the same instructions listed above for Untold Legends 2

Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max
by pSyPSP

first download this file http://www.ps2nfo.com/modules/Downloads/userfile.php?id=908

This is a simple NO UMD FiX by pSyPSP:

1) Extract Street_Fighter_Alpha_3_MAX_USA_PSP-ARTiSAN iSO to a folder on your PC using iSOBuster or similar utility.

2) Outside of PSP_GAME is a UMD_DATA.BIN file, delete this. Inside of PSP_GAME are ICON0.PNG, PARAM.SFO, and PIC1.PNG so move these to the root of the SFALPHA3 folder in this package.

3) In your original PSP_GAME\SYSDIR move the UPDATE folder to SFALPHA3\SYSDIR in the pack folder. Ignore or delete the BOOT.BIN and EBOOT.BIN files remaining in the original PSP_GAME\SYSDIR folder as there is already a new BOOT.BIN and PATCHED_BOOT.BIN in the pack SFALPHA3\SYSDIR.

4) In your original PSP_GAME\USRDIR delete the dummy.bin file, and move the usa folder into the new SFALPHA3\USRDIR folder from this pack.

5) Now follow the instructions as normal from the included NFO file:

Copy the 3 folders to your Memory Stick, boot RunUMD.

Press X (do not hit O to extract update).

Save doesnt work, but since this is a fighter we
dont think it will affect your enjoyment too much.
This also doesnt require a UMD in the drive.

It doesnt work with other games so dont waste your
time trying...

Enjoy!

MLB (Major League Baseball 06)

I have made a ditto copy of my psp, so all you have to do is copy everything to the psp, and just place the iso in the iso Folder(after you have replaced the prx files with the ones here:

PSP Ditto Copy- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Z1CITLPI

PRX Files for MLB- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CWWY998Z (from star wars)

The psp ditto copy incudes-
MPH gameloader
UMD emulator
X folder(2.6 files)
DAX iso.
Run UMD
UMD emulator.

Hope this helps.

Settings needed for DAX iso.

Allocate tables in RAM: off
Emulation mode:system menu, run umd
Everythign else shud be left in its original posistion.

Follow the exact instructions above for Untold Legends 2

Megaman Powered Up
by Reborn

tools needed
download the fix from PS2NFO here: http://www.ps2nfo.com/modules/Downloads/userfile.php?id=922

1) Extract Megaman_Powered_Up_USA_PSP-DMU to a folder on your PC using iSOBuster or similar utility.

2) From your original PSP_GAME folder move all .PNG, .SFO, and .AT3 files to the MEGAMANU folder from this pack.

3) Next, from your original PSP_GAME folder move the contents of the USRDIR folder *EXCEPT FOR THE MODULE folder* (which is already included in the pack) to the MEGAMANU\USRDIR folder from this pack.

4) Now follow the instructions as normal from the included NFO file:

Put the 3 folders to memstick and start runumd ....

Now boot using RunUMD.

NOTE: Although this is labeled a "NO UMD" release, that just means you don't need the actual MPU UMD in the drive to play the game, however, you will need a UMD in the drive to run it (any UMD game should work).

Splinter Cell (using Devhook .41)
by kaosx

extract all files from cell ISO

get prx files here
link removed. sorry.. dont want a ban. wasnt sure if it was allowed.

prx's all renamed UPPERCASE, even the .PRX just add them to the
PSP_GAME\USRDIR\SYSTEM\PSP_MODULES folder

use ripkit here
http://www.ps2nfo.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=4835

use VCDromx 3.6 to build your ISO

load up Devhook .41 with these settings:

select CELL.iso or whatever you named it
UMD mount: ISO anydvd
UMD version 2.xx
firmware 2.5+2.00
CPU clock 333mhz
reboot XMB

!!! for some reason, the realtime cut scenes go really fast and its impossible to see whats going on. !!!

ok...

thanks to svtstang for help on the prx files, people at maxconsole for some other prx files, ps2nfo for posting alot of info and apps.

enjoy!

What ISO are you trying to run? Only new games require RunUMD (see the compatibility list here:http://www.psp-hacks.com/loader-compatibility-list.php
).

Load RunUMD doesn't just automatically pop up in UMD Emulator, you have to download the special UMD Emulator RunUMD edition (from here:http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/427 ). You also need an X folder in th root of your memory stick (find the link here: http://eternal-psp.vze.com/dl.htm ). Also remember that you need a UMD inserted.

I would like you to add Socom to the list. I got it working and the intro movie plays, but it always shuts my psp down when I try to start playing. I know there is a way to actually play it. But mine still ain't working. Thanks for any help. I was told you need a game save so I got that and copied it to the MS and the game never found it, so i dunno what else to try.
