MP3-CD deck not having Random All on MP3-CDs with multiple directories

I have an Aiwa CDC-MA01 MP3-CD player in my car. When I write MP3-CD's, I like to use directories and subdirectories for organization plus the ability to use the "Album Up/Down" feature on my in-dash player. The only problem with this is that in using the "Random" feature, it will only pick randomly from within that directory and not from all directories.

I have heard a couple things about a "fix" for this in being able to mimic shortcuts to each file. These shortcuts are kept in one directory allowing Random to find all files. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
