I have been having a problem trying to burn a single movie into a DVD-R. The problem is, the movies has 2 video files. I use WinAvi to convert the 2 videos individually. I also use Nero to burn the videos on disk. When I copy the files from video 1 on to nero it works fine, however when I try to copy the files from video 2. I get a message. Cannot copy identical files. What do I need to do? Rename the files? Help would be greatly appreciated..

Try using shrink re-author.
Just use the browser to select each file in turn and drag them to the left hand window where the compilation is made.
If you still have the same problem, just copy both files to the hdd if not already done and rename one of the files.

If the movie has two videos that are two halfs of the same film then you need to author the dvd. Use Tempgenc author (or something simliar) and load the two files, you will end up with dvd files (audio_ts and video_ts) containing the complete film that you can then burn via nero.

Thanks for the replies. I know there is more than one way of burning 2 parts of a movie on a DVD. But I found it is a whole lot easier using WinAVI. Awesome program. I load both movies at the same time by highlighting both of them and I convert them. The only problem you need to watch out for, is make sure CD1 is first other wise you'll be watching the movie from the middle instead of the beginning. After the files convert, burning is a snap just copy the folder over Nero and let it burn.
