If you are looking for a bargain, you may want to check out the uBid auction sales of "Manufacturer Refurbished" Sony multi-format DVD burners. They have had auctions recently with the DRU500AX, DRU500A, and the DRX500UL selling for substantially under $300. As is always the case, the stock of these can dry up suddenly and unpredictably.

I don't have any great love for uBid - but I was not able to resist a refurbished DRX500UL that I purchased for $260 last week. If interested, take a look at http://www.ubid.com and make your own decision.
