Xbox 360 network adapter help.

Can I use any wireless network adapter,

Or do i have to buy the overpriced one that MS sells.
I would rather not spend 100$ if I dont have too.

there are zillions of threads on this but......

If your adapter runs USB then it will probobly work. However i would go with the 360 one just to be safe and because of how it looks. M$ has made an awsome little cradle on the box just for the adapter to fit in to. It looks tight.

I looked for threads and didnt find my answer.
I do not own an XBOX 360 its for my buddy.
He DOES NOT really have 100$ to spend after spending over 600$
in the system and games.
He wants to know if ANY USB adapater will be compatible.
I can get the one pictured for 25.00$,
If it will work He would muth rather have that one.

i dunno about u guys but i was having problems with the microsoft one. whenever the phone rings i get disconnected. but it doesn't happen if i use the ethernet cable. weird.

You can use the old wireless solution(ethernet bridge)
but you can't just use any usb network adapter(they require a software install). The 360 has builtin support for there adapter. How else do you think they would be able to get away with charging 100 bones.
