Hi

wel basically i have ripped two dvd's onto my HD correctly using DVD Decrypter an after it had finished i got these files saved onto my HD:

Now could someone please tell me which software(s) i would need in order to play this file using a media player (any media player is ok with me, as long as its free for download)

And also which other software would i need to rip this film onto a dvd without loosing most quality.

Also could someone tell me quickly how to baisically use the softwares i may need.

Thank you very much

Locoeng,
you sent him the wrong link, and MPC wouldnt play it anyway. ;)

Endz,
Use VLC media Player to play the ISO

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_players/vlc.cfm

You can use CloneDVD2 to remove the extras so you dont lose too much quality.

Enjoy ;)

Sorry bout the link....coulda sworn MPC would play ISO files.

DVD Shrink or Nero Recode2 will compress the movie enough to fit on one SL blank. The compression was pretty high, around 50%, if I remember correct so you will need to use the advanced analysis and AEC controls to try and smooth out the bumps created by the compression.

Here is a guide on DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink, as well as a DL for DVD Shrink if you don't already have it:

If you are really concerned about the quality, you might want to look into DVD Rebuilder. This method is very slow, but the quality is unmatched:

Rip to HDD first using the latest version of DVDFab Decrypter and then process the files with DVD Shrink. That error is more than likely due to copy protection that DVD Shrink cannot handle...

DVDFab Decrypter should handle WOTW with no problems, the link is provided in my last post.

Thanks back

Thanks loco for dvd fab link :) It looks really good ill test it when i get another dvd because War Of The Worlds dvd is gone now :(

But atleast i understand how to rip they using properly now :) Also i found out how to play the ripped ISO file using a ISO player :)

Very nice

One last thing, How do you shrink the files, (i got like 5 files when decrypter finished ripping) So that it fits on a 4/5/6 GIG dvd CD? So that ALL the files are on the DVD and can be played on any dvd easily.

Finally which software would be the best to burn these multiple files onto a dvd (i have windvd but not sure that would be good) Thanks, and anyway to find out how 2 rip these multiple ripped files onto a dvd would be very nice :)

Thanks alot for all your help guys
