Here is the video file info from mediaplayer classic.
Video: MPEG1 Video 352x240 (107:80) 29.97fps 1150Kbps [Video]
Audio: MPEG Audio 44100Hz stereo 224Kbps [Audio]

i having a problem and i dont know what program to use to re-encode this as a divx/xvid.
i know how to use AutoGK but after i re-encode it the audio's sync gets worse and worse.i notice in Lame it goes to encode i get bitstream error resyncing...seems to fix it them and continue but after its done audio is fine in beginin but sync gets wors later in the video.

i have about 60 of these files and they all do it, they play fine in mpeg form but once convert to divx audio is off. i have tried to change from VBR to CBR to auto.

Is there a better tool that AutoGK?
if you need any mreo information please let me know. i can also send you the file if need be.

The simplest trick you could use:

1) de-multiplex the mpeg audio ==> audio.mp2
2) use HeadAC3he and convert audio.mp2 into audio.mp3 using (press options couple of times) the preset 'Alt CBR' (128 kbps CBR)
3) open the mpg with VirtualDubMod (VirtualDub's variant). Stream___Stream List, [Disable] the actual stream (or VDub will convert it to WAV, since it's unable to compress it) and [Add] your audio.mp3. [OK]
4) choose the Video__Compression configuring your codec (2-pass is better) and go....

Nm ill use TMPGEnc for the de-multiplex

but i noticed when it created the 2 different file that the
.m1v is 43.23
.mp2 is 43.19

is this waht is causing my problems?
and how can i fix it?
