Some of my movies start from scratch when I pause them. i.e. they wont let me scroll forward to another place in the movie.

That means when I play a movie, I've got to watch it all in one go!

Can anyone explain this, and how I can get around it? (re-encoding, get different codecs etc)

Apologies for such a lame question. I'm a newbie.
