Hello All,

I have a 20 GB Dell DJ - Generation 1 - that is giving me trouble with the headphone plug. Since it is out of warranty and Dell is no longer doing hard drive based MP3 players I fear I am stuck.

I am looking at new players and am leaning towards the Toshiba Gigabeat 20GB. (any opinions appreciated - good/bad)

Anyway...got to thinking...can I buy a 10GB Gigabeat and put the 20GB Dell hard drive in the unit? If not, are there any players that I might be able to upgrade with the Dell 20GB hard drive? Is there a place/website with discussions and guidance on doing something like this if it is even possible?

Thanks in advance to anybody that can provide any insight or information.
