I'm pretty sure this ist he right forum to ask questions about torrents, so I'll go ahead and ask. I was looking to download a file from a torrent this morning, and this was my first time ever using a torrent. I
began the download thinking it'd take a while since the file was over 350MB, but it finished in a split second. I go to my FireFox downloads and press open, it then says I don't have the appropriate application to open the file with. I was just wondering how I go about opening the file. Thanks. And yes, I know this is a noob question. xD

You need a torrent client like Azureus or ”torrent to download the actual file, what you donwloaded was the .torrent file, which tells your torrent client where it can find the real files.

(ok, so that's not exactly how it works, i just simplified it so it would be understandable for anyone)
