Ok, Hello everyone, Fellow Helpers. Ok I'm stressing becuase first off I have a music video on my iPod and theres no music coming out of my head phones. The video plays and all. I converted it to fit on the ipod or to it's settings or whatever it converts it for. Anyways I think the converting might have took out the sound. Can anyone tell me how to get sound on it. While I'm watching the video
Thankx fellow helpers. Please help soon.

It's definitely your video converter causing the problem here. Try this out (something I posted elsewhere):
Quote: It's freeware, but the page is not in English: http://www.nurs.or.jp/~calcium/3gpp/
There is an English configuration option in the program. Just open 'Setup.exe' beforehand to fit it to your needs. It should be self-explanatory.

I don't think that it is a problem with his current converter. It is most likely just the settings that he is converting at.
Try to mess with the audio settings and convert the video again using the different settings. If this doesn't work, then play the video on your actual computer without converting it. If the sound isn't there, then it is a problem with the video. If it is there, try screwing with the settings a bit more and if that still doesn't work, feel free to post back.
Cheers ;-)

Alright a few things may have been overlooked by the previous posters. Do you have a 60 gig iPod and if so what firmware are you using? And could you see if the video plays with sound on your computer in iTunes. What converter are you using? It will make it easier for us to tell you where to go to change your converter settings if that is the problem. The video has to fit this criteria:
Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240, 30 frames per sec., Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3 with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 KHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats;
MPEG-4 video up to 2.5 Mbps, 480 x 480, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 KHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4 and .mov file formats
The bolded parts are what you should be concerned with since your audio isn't playing.

Ok Ok, Thank you some thats actually getting into depth, Ok ok this is going to take a while but ok listen, Here it is 1st, I have a 30GB, Lol 2nd of all this is going to sound like a newbee question but whats a Fireware, 3rd. Ok The original music video of "What You Know About Dat" by T.I, And Theres another one it's "FireMan" by Lil' Wayne, Anyways the original ones downloaded off of limewire transfered to iTunes by going to add a single file ,play and the videos play. and everything down in the left hand corner play ,they play and music comes out as it plays. However, However, Ok wait 4th,4th is I'm useing the iTunes converter, If you go to videos on the things on the side over by where it shows the ipod's connected and everything like radio,podcasts, etc. It says videos and in videos are where the 4 videos are 4 meaning, The original ones that hasn't been converted, and the other ones that have, Now how I converted them was I right click on the original one and then go down to where it says "Convert Selection For iPod" I click that and it goes to it on the top bar where it usually says iPod is upating, well it says it's converting and a clear bar fills up with black showing it's converting and it's progress. and you talked about it has to fit the Criteria, Ok now I have no Idea where to look for that stuff. wouldn't know where to start looking for that stuff. Please help me out on the what Fireware means, So I can get to you back on that and also where to find all the stuff about the critiria. Thankx Man I greatly appreciate it!!

Alright now we can get somewhere. I would first recommend you use a different program to do your converting. The iTunes one quite frankly just doesn't work that well. The program I use, that's free, is Videora iPod Converter. It's pretty simple and if you need any help using it Lethal has a guide stickied at the top of the forum for it.
The firmware isn't the issue for you. People that have 60gig iPods using firmware 1.1 had problems playing videos sometimes. Your firmware is just the software your iPod is using, like when iTunes tells you that your iPod is out of date and needs updating, its updating the firmware. The general consensus here is that firmware 1.0 is best, but there arn't any problems with firmware 1.1 or 1.1.1 for the 30 gig iPod so update at your own will. Any other problems just let me know :)

Go there and scroll down some of the way and you'll see the guide about how to use Videora. Videora can convert pretty much any video. It doesn't make a difference if it is a movie or a music video. To convert DVD's you'll be needing DVD Decrypter but it tells you how to do that stuff in the guide.
And if you have any other questions feel free to post.

The only reason I said it had to be his converting software is because I've used many programs to convert vids and many have had the same problem because of compatability issues and scanning for the right decoders...

Don't take it personally esspee, it's easy to get a little frustrated when you can't get the information you want. And all of us overlook the other problems people could be having from time to time. Lethal corrects/adds to my posts all the time and it is a good thing that this community can work that way and be constructive.
