Hello
i have a quick question. I have been successfully all along been backing up movies with the new updates of anydvd dvd decrpyter and dvd shrink. but lately i noticed at the end of the newer movies i backed up eg. kong and mrs. henderson presents... actually start skipping at the end of the movie and continue to skip until the movie is over with. It doesnt happen until like the second or third chapter to the end. If anyone else has had this happend and can tell me what to do its appreciated. thanks

What type of media you useing?? may be burning too close to the edge
too. how fast you burning??

Try setting your target dvd size as 4360 in shrink's preferences. Use quality media, such as Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. Burn the media at half the rated speed, ex: burn 8X rated disc at 4X.
Are you using the deep analysis/ quality enhancement options with shrink? King Kong is a huge disc even doing main movie only I was at 53% on compression. Using the quality enhancement features will make a huge difference with this size dvd. Personally I would recommend splitting King Kong onto two disks or burning onto DL.
Also check to be sure your burner's firmware is up-to-date.

Hey thanks for the help to answer the earlier question i am using 16x DVD+R discs fugi film discs. i dont think this is a firmware problem. the movie should fit on this disc as shrink allows it. kong is a long movie but i had this happen on other shorter films as well. i just wanted to know if this happened to anyone else as well.

using better media should help (Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim) and slow down your burn speed to 4x
