i have resident evil 4. it was a good game but i didnt like the over the shoulder view. it was like a half first person and half third person shooter.
i will try some of the other games though thanks

p.s i tend to like warrior games and shooter games. i like games like prince of persia 3, or god of war. i also like resident evil 4

God of War, Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.. or somethin like that, Kingdom Hearts, Devil May Cry 3, Burnout: Revenge, Midnight Club: Dub Remix and The whole Onimusha Series, although I never played the 1st one.

All guaranteed for a good time. Kingdom Hearts may take you longer though, I just finished the 1st one and took my 40+ hours trying to get everything. I'm gonna take a break before I start on the 2nd one.

Grand Theft Auto series.
All that free roaming, along with missions, side missions, and so on.
3 would have the least extra stuff, but is best to start there, then move on to Vice City which will have more, then to San Andreas which will have the most but i think i liked 3 & Vice City better myself just because it stuck to the original storyline where San Andreas just went way off base. But don't get me wrong it was still a killer game.

You can play those games for hours and never even enter into a mission. Just so much you can do as the games progressed.

Best thing to do for games is start going to game sites and reading a lot of reveiws. Like IGN and other noted online sites. I do not always agree with their rating but you can at least get a general idea of what it is about and how others liked it.

yeah, and you can get the GTA San Andreas for 19.99 these days
and the GTA Vice city 19.99 and GTA III for 14.99
or just go to EB Games or Gamestop and buy the preowned copie for dirt cheap.

I know for the Xbox they have the double pack (III & Vice City)
also the trilogy with all 3. but i have not seen those for PS2

Sags, you said that you like shooters and games like "god of war"...
So, my recommendations are:
Two shooters: "Black" to play offline (the best SinglePlayer shooter ever, for me!), and Battlefield 2 to play online !!

And the last one: "Shadow of Colossus" , if you realy like "god of war", you will love this one!!!

yea shadow of colossus is fun figuring out and battling the huge titans. I should probably play it again sometime and try to finish it... I mean is there much of a story to it?? or you gotta finish off all the titans inorder to know hwats going on?

I'm personally not into GTA myself. Got vice city and san andreas, but haven't bothered to finish it. I mean yea it's coo for a lil while. But I think it just gets boring after awhile with all the shooting and what not.

GTA is quite a violent game with a large amount of profanity. That is why they are rated mature. So i know in stores around here unless you are 17 or have a parent buy it you would be out of luck.
But there are so many things you can do around the cities other than the missions i think it is one of the best games ever made.
There is no other game for either console that has ever been able to match the amount of missions and side missions and amount of free roaming available in the GTA games. 3 will have the least but is the best place to start. Always best to go in order.
