My animated menu made using Nero Vision Express 3 freezes. Details are:

I have been through the process of making a DVD in Nero Vision Express 3; have edited, added chapters and created a menu. My buttons are static but as a menu background I put a video clip made from an audio file and pictures so that it would run as a slide show.

The DVD ran for about 9 seconds then froze. During those 9 seconds I could select chapters. Going back to my nero vision document file, I previewed the animated background and the sound was jerky and the pictures did not rotate as expected.

I have tried making my background video using both Nero and windows movie maker, have added the sound by different methods but still have the same problem. In the end I want to create a menu with a slide show and music until the viewer selects a chapter.

Any advice out there please?

I don't have NVE 3, but in NV 4 when you look at the Automation dialogue, there are 2 parts. One is how long the animation will play, and the bottom part says "Auto Play" and addresses delay and actions. It looks like they broke it again in NV4, but it did work at one time in an earlier release.

thanks Saltgrass for the Automation word.

I could not find 2 parts however a few selections beneath the background was a selection called 'Automatization'. By increasing the run time here I now have my slide show and music running behind the menu.

I cannot find out how to make it cycle so at the end the menu disables and the disc needs to be reinserted. It is workable but not ideal.

How do I make it cycle?
