hey all

i swear this will be my last thread lol, + i searched this time, and couldn't find anything.

my router - d-link dsl-504t ...

I want to open ports 6881-6889, I also want to open 12242.

I added them, all on UDP,TCP, and then again on separatly TCP and UDP by making another rule for them.

I then go to those port testing sites, and they are closed?
I have followed guides and read shit loads. I wouldn't have posted without not reading and stuff

thanks for your times

EDIT : my bitcomet port : 12242 - it open now.. not 6881 and the others.

Ed

Then either you did it wrong, or your firewall is blocking those ports, But like i said before, you shouldn't use those ports.
Use a single portnumber in the 50000 range (any numer) or just use port 1720 to be sure. Firealls don't usually block port 1720, neither do isp's, and setting up a single portnumber on your router is easier and safer anyway. :)
