I have a couple games that I need to load as NTSC. HOwever, these games are often a little "taller" than my tv can show. Much of the HUD stuff on the bottom of the games is cutt off, even after adjusting the screen via options menus. Is there any way around this?

are you using swap magic?

and are these games originally PAL? (guessing as you are running them as ntsc)

you can get some pal2ntsc image patchers out there, but I could never get any of them to work, but other people do.

one patcher is called y-fix. theres a number of them out there but none worked for me (althought i was trying to NTSC > PAL cos im in the uk)

I use swap magic and use the video mode feature and I get a black line at the bottom, but nothing is really "cut" off on the screen

i am using swap magic. I'm in the states, and to load this specific game I have to do it as NTSC, otherwise it behaves as is the vertical hold is out on my television. What is the video mode feature you speak of? where is that? I may try to mess with the pal2ntsc patchers, but i doubt i'll be able to get them to work.

I think you may already be using the "video feature" in swap magic.

Its just the option that lets you choose to boot the game as PAL or NTSC on the main swap magic screen.

You could select "NTSC" and press Square for "special boot"

im not sure what special boot does but ive seen in some tutorials that people recommend it.

Normal boot works fine for me.

other than that I cant really help because as I said, none of the patchers work for me. soz

I used the yfix and finally got it to work. It's not perfect, but its better than it was.

Regarding "special boot" I have never got a game to boot using it. Not that I care, but it always goes to a black screen and the dvd just stops spinning.
