installing cd games on harddrive?

hi peeps... well right now i'm trying to figure out how to install crazy taxi on the harddrive? like.. i have the game (umm dled hehe) but its in .mdf/.mds, and i can't install it until it's in .iso format. i've used isobuster to save the file in .bin, .cue.... and i just rename the file ext to .iso, and i try to open (just w.e) and it says it is damaged? with all my other ps2 dvds i can see the contents. and when i try to install it with hdldumb i can't... so could it be bad file, or either i've been doing it wrong in isobuster? ...should i just resort to burning it on cd? (but don't really want to, don't wanna waste any ty cds heh) so.. can anyone tell me any solution? ok thanks :)

Use Alcohol to open the files, mount it as a virtual drive, then read it from there
