Once I put a mod chip in my Xbox, and I have a copied game, can I just put it in and have it work? Or do I need EvoultionX?

Also, does xbox read DVD+RWs?

it should just play.

evolution x is more if your swapping the hd of the xbo with a larger pc hd and also if you want to make backups of your games and play games from the xbox harddrive..

I have burned a backup onto a DVD+R and DVD+RW and neither works. The DVD+R gives me this error:
"Your Xbox cannot recogonize this disc. Make sure its a XBox game, DVD movie, or audio CD. Also check to see if the disc is dirty or damaged.
The DVD+RW says:
"Invalid media type. Make sure its a XBox game, DVD movie, or audio CD."

Anyone know what I can do.

Mkae sure you make an iso image of the game first then burn it. I had problems with xISO and have since been using isomaker and have not had any problems with that.

I used Iso Maker. It also didn't work.

Maybe my mod chip isn't installed correctly. What can I do to test it?

ok.......

now i am no expert or anything, but....

check that your chip is connected properly.

em, after that i am not sure, it could be that you are burning the imagre file wrong, or that your chep is broken , or loads of other things.

All i can say is to read all the tutorials and ask as many questions on all the Forums that you can.

this is probably just some small problem.

Sorry i am not more help to ya!!

Progress......

I GOT A BACKUP TO WORK!

However, now I tried to burn another backup and that didn't work. NHL2K3 worked, and Tao Feng didn't. I also got a burned DVD backup to work. NHL2K3 worked from a DVD+RW, and not from a DVD+R. The DVD worked on a DVD+R. I burned Tao Feng on the same DVD+RW, and it didn't work. I burned it the exact same way. Anyone know of a reason it might do this?

Tao Feng is over 4.7 gigs so you can't copy it to a dvd it must go to the HD.. Also you need to patch newer games with the copyhaunters patcher for them to work.

I tried to burn NHL2k3 again and play it, but that didn't work either. I used a totally new DVD+RW, and burned it the exact same way.

I noticed that the matrix mod chip's LED sometimes turned red before, maybe when I took a normal game out? It hasn't done that since NHL wokred the first time. The only time it turns red is when you turn the xbox off, it flashes red for a hlaf second, then turns off. Also, when I press the eject button, the xbox doesn't go back to the dashboard, it stays in the game. Is it sopposed to do this? My mod chip is in mode 3: Swap mode. Here is what the matrix installation guide says about mode 3:
Quote:
Mode 3 (Dip switch 1 ON, 2 OFF) (LED: Green =Matrix, Red =Original) Swap mode
This mode works as follows:
On every power up the Matrix ?bios? is loaded indicated by the Green LED. To switch
to the original bios the user must load a game and then press eject, at this time the
LED will turn Red indicating that the original bios is active. To switch back the user
may either turn off and on the console or repeat the above.
I tried changing the mode to 2, and then back to 3, and that didn't change anything. Anyone have an idea?
