Unlocking 3G NEC e616V cell phone

I have a 3 NEC e616V phone bought from Australia. I use in Taiwan and when i put SIM it says invalid USIM and dont let me use the keypad in order to enter the codes which I is mentioned in other threads providing the solution. How can it be done.... can anybody help me in this..
