Hi,

Received this recorder and have some flaws which I need to find out if it is a fault with the player or is the standard setup. Any help appreciated.

1. One touch record only works from the button on the actual set and not the remote control (the manual states the REC button on the remote should work but it doesnt).

2. CM skip (30, 60, 90 second skip etc) only works on DVD-RAM disks despite the manual stating it should work on all disks.

3. Most importantly, any recordings made on to DVD-RW or DVD+RW externally (e.g NEROVISION, Roxio DVD Builder etc - VIDEO_TS DVD-VIDEO format) are not recognised by this recorder. It states the disks are unformatted despite working on every other player I have tried it on (7 of them!). If I copy the contents of the DVD-RW or DVD+RW to a DVD-R or DVD+R, then they play fine but this will cost a small fortune in the long run having to use DVD+R or DVD-R disks rather than rewriteables.

Any help greatly appreciated as I need to know if the above 'problems' are by design or down to a faulty player.
