pc power supply swap?

does anybody know if you can use a pc power supply on your xbox v1.6 mobo? im trying to diagnose weather my mobo or power supply is bad and i dont want to try using the pc power supply on it if its going to ruin a good mobo...

i dunno exactly but i dont think so i believe a pc power supply is much stronger than the xbox one.....

no, its just dead, no action at all.... it happened while i was trying to install the spider gx chip with the xbox turned on (so i could see the led indicators) ... i touched something wrong, and it turned off and never turned back on again...

what version xbox do you have because they sell power supply's on ebay...because you definately shorted something...

power supplys for all your power supply needs, i wouldnt recomned using a pc power supply. It could have some bad results. (Picturing smoke poring out of a melting xbox).
