How to burn PS2 games?

Hello everyone,
Can someone please send me complete details about how to burn ps2 and where to get all the stuff thats required as I am fairly new to this.I have ps2 slimline do I need to do anything with my ps2? What software do I require?I have a dvd burner on my pc.Please help me.

Get DVD Decrypter. This will allow you to burn backups.
The simple steps are: Make a folder and save it somewhere....on your desktop perhaphs, name it Game copy or something you will remember then Put your source ( origional ) disc in your drive wait 10 seconds then open DVD Decrypter > on the taskbar go to Mode > iso READ > under "source " make sure the game is shown and click on "destination" and you want the folder you named earlier to show here....so you will have to "browse" for it. Then click on the picture of the disc (dvd). That will start the reading.
When that is done (around 10 mins) you will put in your "destination" disc (blank) and go to the taskbar again and click on "mode" and iso WRITE. Select the file from "source" and make sure you select the MDS file, then in the "destination" box make sure it shows your burner.
Set the write speed to 1x or 2x and that is it. Use good quality media to write to or games wont copy and you will get "skipping"
(games will stick) turn off screensavers and running programs while burning as they can cause conflicts and make the games jump during play. Good luck

No probs, good luck ....but... most people will find a few probs with their first burn attempt, so just post again and in order to help yourself check out paddymail's post -( just above your origional post)

@ The original poster : yes, you need a means of booting those backups, since an unmodified ps2 can't play them.
you'll either need a swap magic disc set with a set of slimtools (or a fliptop), a modchip, or a memory card exploit.
The thread philbilly linked to has more info on those, and there are a few more threads in this forum that have information on them as well.

@ philbilly : since you seem to want to really help out, next time, first try to inform the person you're trying to help that they can't play backups without some kind of modification, saves you (and the rest of us) a lot of heartache *and might save you from a flamewar or 2 ;) *.

Hi, i did all the steps with DVD Decrypter and when i play my game it starts to freze, and on my other games im driving on mid air. Can some one help me?

A common problem for games freezing or skipping is poor media (Discs)
Check out the q and a's and stickys at the top of the page where you posted, you will find a list of good discs there, you dont need to pay a fortune for them - I pay £10.00 for 50 discs and mine work every time. One other thing.... when I first started burning my games stuck every time and no matter what advice I got they still stuck - then I turned off my running programs when burning i.e. screensaver, firewall.... and no prob's after that so try that. Basicly, many things can cause skipping and sticking so you will have to try as many as poss' before you find the answer - some people never have a problem- so be patient at this stage but 9x out of 10 it's the discs. Good luck P.S. what do you mean "i'm driving on mid air" ?

swiss12, i would have to say that 90% of the time when that happens it is due to the DVD's you used being a cheap brand.
Then after that i would say burning speed.

Usually if it plays but has glitches it is media. I have a game that does that and it is just the crappy TDK disc that was used.
you will be driving along and it will freeze, or the road ahead will just go blank.
