Copying a song from DVD to HD

I want to record a song from a DVD to my HD and then convert into a mp3. IS it possible ?

I m using PowerDVD

It certainly is. You need to rip the VOB files off of the DVD with SmartRipper and strip out the soundtrack with something like DVD2AVI which saves it to a Wave (.wav) file. Then you just need an MP3 encoder to convert it.

Alternatively you could use a program like TotalRecorder which records everything thats sent thru the soundcard and saves it to a Wave file, but if the sound output is crap then you'll end up with a crap recording.
