This is the deal. WHile using dvd-decrypter to burn my movies with nero7 my computer would freez up when it was about 70% complete. I then started using DVDFAB and it work for a bit but it would still freez up about 50% of the time. I then took the advise of the forum and intalled nero 6.0.0.18 (I think) with the updates and it still does it. I then try using IMGBURN and it still did it. (this is on varous movies). I also made sure my BENQ1655 firmware is up to date with no luck. I then deleted almost everything in the hard drive and did a defrag on both my C:WINDOWS and my D:Movies drives. It still freezes. This is what my computer is running.

1.1 Athlon
640 MB of Ram
265 ATI radion Video card
Benq 1655 DVD burner.
Any help would be great. THanks Warren

Maybee I just need to update my computer.

It's most likely not your PC; apparently, Nero 7 has some sort of problem (NeroVision, specifically) that doesn't seem to allow certain users to edit/create chapters. Until they release a new version -- and even then it's a toss-up -- the problem seems to persist. It's interesting btw -- many if not all of the people who seem to be reporting this problem seem to have ATI/Radeon cards. Mine's an X600 Hypermemory with 256MB as well, and the firmware is up-to-date. Keep your eyes and ears on this board and on the Nero website -- hopefully they'll finally get it right and release something that's compatible and workable.

Saltgrass started a thread on this recently, and as a group we've been trying -- to no avail -- to figure out how to solve this problem. So unless you want to tinker with your box, don't assume the problem is your hardware/configuration -- it is prolly not the case at all.

Hope this helps somewhat.
