Can someone please explain to me how Swap Magic works and about it. I don't seem to understand it. I get the fact that it does something to the backed up CD/DVD and makes it playable. But I don't understand how. I was starting to think it was a piece of hardware in which you place the disc in and begin the process. But then when I go to look for a place to buy one in my area, it comes as a CD. This has left me overly confused so can someone (preferably someone that uses this) explain to me about it and how it works.

Swapmagic is a disc (2) One disc to play your "backed up" dvd's and 1 disc to play your "backed up" cd's. Basicly if you use Swapmagic you dont need a mod chip to play your backups, you simply load ( through your fliptop - not the origional one on the ps2 slimline- a seperate one which you would have bought)- the swapmagic disc and when prompted remove it and put in the copy, the swap disc by-passes your system and fools it into playing backups.
You will get the discs and a flip lid ( old Ps2 or new slimline ) for around £30.00 Good luck.

I wanted to know if its worth it to get the the Ultimate Swap Disc? or should i just get the regular, because i ordered my flip top which hasn't arived, and the site said if i dont get it, they will re-send with my choice of swap disc. so i should get the ultimate right?

I use swap magic 3.6 and I havn't had any problems yet while the ultimate one there isn't too many people who have it so it could be a bit of a risk again you call.
