everytime i try to open my nero smartstart a message pops up that says it encounterd a problem and needs to close. can someone help.

Reinstall Nero, I get this error occasionally and a reinstall usually takes care of it.

also on this version of Nero i don't see the option to make your own dvd-video. all i see is copy dvd and make data dvd where is make you own dvd-video(menus and all that good stuff).

Nero Vision is the app that makes the menues and such...Is this a full version or OEM that came bundled with the drive?

some body on here sent me to a sight to upgrade to Nero 6.6.0.18. So i really don't know; but it's probably not the full version. how could i tell and do you know how a place where can get the full version?

o.k i just saw something when i go to start/all programs i see that the Nero is highlighted when put the cursor on it the user guides aren't highlighted and the Nero upgrade online isn't highlighted; but Nero oem, Nero smartstart, Nero toolkit are highlighted. it will let me go to Nero burning rom se and Nero express. can you make any light of this?

You don't have a full version...the suite has about 10 or so different apps included in it. Your only recoarse would be to buy the full version. I've seen Nero 6 on sale for as low as $10 (I think this was the full version).

You should be able to download a full version from the link I gave you or you can purchase Nero in most brick and mortar PC stores.
