Hi bud, when i started using news groups a few months back this is what i done. Not saying its the only way but iv'e ner had any probs.

You first need a NEWS READER in my case i use NEWSBIN PRO (£15.00 1 off payment or look around some places) , some people prefer newsleecher , but iv'e never used it.

Then you need a NEWS SERVER in my case i pay GIGANEWS £15.00 per month for unlimited downloads.

I think there are some free news servers around but I beleive you get what you pay for.

Once you set up your NEWS READER your supposed to download headers. But i can't be arsed with that so i just download NZB files instead. So simple to use just click and download.

Not sure if allowed to say what sites have NZB files if i am told i can i will. But just google away.

There are some excellent guides to using newsgroups at Slyck News.
Once i got used to it i have never used a torrent site since.
