the xbox 360 hdd, iv had a look through the menus and settings but i cant see anything relavant

You can't. You can only copy music to the 360's hard drive off of CD's. Yeah, it's a hassle, but just burn the music you want to a disc and copy it from that.

Nope, can't copy mp3s, so don't make a data cd with your music in mp3 format; it won't copy that to the hard drive. Whatever cd burning software you use, just select "make a music cd" or the similar option. And you also can't copy music from a cd onto a portable device and rip that to the 360's hard drive. For whatever reason, it will only copy from a regular music cd inserted in the disc drive.

You can listen to your mp3's on your 360 like this

All you need is a.....

Xbox 360
Computer w/ USB 2.0 port(s)
USB 2.0 HDD, or a IDE HDD with a usb 2.0 adapter
USB 2.0 cable to go from your HDD to ur computer
A case for your HDD (optional)


I like this method because it does not take up space on your xbox's main HDD, and you can also put movies, pics, and other files on the USB HDD by transfering them to the USB HDD with your computer :)

It's easy to listen to mp3s on your 360, but getting them on the hard drive is the problem.

Well the modder guys like Team Xodus better get crackin and figure out how to make the XBOX 360's HDD readable by a PC so we can transfer our music......
