I just got my stuff in the mail and can't get it to work. One problem I had was when I opened up the dvd it was scratched but it still loads.
I put the slimtool parts in place and didn't have much trouble there. I burned 3 games... 2 on Taiyo Yuden and 1 on Maxell. It's not picking up any of it.

Name of Game- Mortal kombat:SM, Gauntlet, Jak X Combat Racing
Game Region- both
Media Make- Taiyo Yuden (http://www.supermediastore.com/taiyo-yuden-4x-dvd-r-media-silver-...) and Maxell DVD-R
Media ID
Disc Max Speed-8X
Speed of Burning-1X
PS2 Modification (Swap Magic Version+Tool used /Name of Modchip)-http://www.techwizad.com/index.html?lang=en-uk&target=p24.html?lm...
PS2 Version (V1-Vx)- V12
Game acquired (downloaded/original disc/back-up disc)-Downloaded
Rebuilded (Yes/No)-no
Rebuilding Software
Burning Software-Nero and DVD decrypter

Problem - I load up the swapmagic DVD disc and it goes to the "Load Program, Video Mode" Screen... I swap out the dvd for the one I burned and it says Not a valid PS2 disc. I don't get anything else... just stops there. It will still load my original games just fine but no backups.

I download from Azureus (mininova) and as far as I can tell I installed it right. hard to see tool C but it just dropped in the slot by the spring like the picture said to do.

But even the CD version says not a valid ps2 disc

I burned one at 4x and still getting not valid disc error.
Could it be the magic swap itself or what? I don't see how the tool's aren't in right... not many ways they can go.

I'm real sorry for the spam :( My husband went to work and I'm a bit worried it was messed up.
I think I see the problem... tool C isn't staying down... is it suposed to stick up a little or is it supposed to be jammed all the way down and not move? I can push it down with my nail but when I let go it pop's up a small bit. Could this be the problem?

EDIT: NM I fixed it... it was tool C. It wouldn't stay down for some reason and I had to use a bit of tape. playing MK:SM right now.. thanks for the help. I love this site.
