Hey there, i dont know exactly where to post this, as the problem could relate to many areas, however i will try to keep this short and sweet.

Lately my burner has been running quite badly, First of all, when i burn either a CD or DVD it burns it in double the stated time (EG. i go to burn a full dvd at 4X it says 15 mins remaining, however once it reaches ~50% after about 15 mins, the timer reaches 0 then it recacluates the ETA as 15 mins ... so in total it takes 30 mins. This i can handle, its not to bad... then i go to play it and the dvd is quite dodgy. Same with CDs, all my audio CDs skip on all my cd players {even my car :( }

I checked my RAM and all that kinda jazz, but i dont know what it could be... any suggestions at all??

The burner may need a firmware update, the current version is VY08, if you need to update you can get it here;

You can use this utility to check what version you currently have installed for your burner, if it's old update to the version stated above then try burning again and see if it's problem solved.

Get the utility here, once you have it just run it;

Also check and make sure your drives are still in DMA mode. Here is a guide.
