Has anyone purchased a 360 from Wal-Mart? I usually purchase my systems from EB games but they havent had any and Wal-Mart did. People have been telling me dont go there because they throw stuff in the back etc..People also told me that Dell's suck and they would never buy one because they used to work there and knows what goes on but I wouldnt buy any other system but Dell besides a custom or Alienware..Anyway, has anyone bought a 360 from WalMart

I am sure every company has its own horror story about what really goes on, so I would say what the heck and just buy on from Wal-Mart just return it if it does not work.

I got mine from walmart back in december and it works fine. dont worry, you can take it back to walmart within 90 days if it doesnt work. I did that because the walmart only had 1 xbox 360 left and it was a basic without hard drive so i called around and found one a month later, and took my basic xbox 360 back to the walmart then bought the premium they had, both worked great (and that is when they were still working out problems).

Yeah, I used to work at Wal-Mart to and the dude in the back was stealing Xbox's that were on Lay-a-Way. LOL!! Mine is on Lay-A-Way now but now I have the actual money to go buy one so I either might go to EB Games and get it or pay-off the LayAWay and right away just ask for a new system in the Electronic Dept. Im getting the warranty though so hopefully no probs!! Fingers Crossed

ok, idk about the 360, but i do know a lot about computers. first of all, why dont u just order the parts from tigerdirect.com and build one? you can build one with like 160gb hdd, 3.06ghz processor, motherboard with PCIexpress, 256 PCIe graphics card, and a case with a 450 watt powersupply, all for about $280. or you could buy the same thing in a store or from dell for about $1300. you choose what u would like to do. and the dell thing u were talkin bout, well, i have worked on dell computers, and they are built fine, they run good, but they are made so that the customer will never be able to change anything besides the way it came, unless he buys a new motherboard. for exp. if you wanted to get a 256mb graphics card for a dell desktop and there was already a 64mb card in there, the way they actually put the pc together is made so that u would have to send it back to them and ask them to do it with their card which is gonna be WAY overpriced anyways. dell is a good company that take care of their customers. ill give them that much. but in the computer industry, there is a large markup on the prices of pc's, therefore we come to the conclusion of building them ourselves! the only thing that is designed to let be changed out in a dell is the cd-rom drives. you can easily change them out. but a hdd, or processor, or pci card, or even ram, will be extremely diffucult to exchange, so if you dont plan on ever changing n e thing in your computer and feel like paying thousands, for something that could be bought in $300...go right ahead.
p.s. if youre planning on getting a laptop, dell is by far the way to go. they have really good laptops!

I am good with EB, I just liked there policy on the last gen xbox's. If one was damaged or whatever you could just take it back if you had the warranty and they would give you a brand new one while they sent back the broken one to get fixed and I assume resold that as refurbished

EB Games is a joke, if your a modder don't waste your time with these incompetent jerk off kids that claim to know Xbox's, not all of there employees are like that but most of the time your just speaking French to them. Trust me, it's not like I go in there to strike up a conversation about modded systems, some of these guys just rub me the wrong way, for instance when they tell me that you can't do this or that to the Xbox or Xbox 360, please!!! been there done that I tell them. What I'm trying to say is that we modders have a certain swagger and confidence in our craft, it's a gift that's been passed down to us by the ModGod's. We like to share our knowledge because we care and feel for out inferior counterparts, poor bastards.. They want the truth, they can't handle the truth even when we give it to them.
So in the spirit of modders all around the globe, can I get an amen from the modding congregation!!!!!! LOL

AMEN brotha, i hate going to stores where the salesperson tries to act like they know what they're talking about when they don't its a joke, i was at circuit city yesterday, and this dude tried telling me that this certain tv is the best tv made, well even though the set is a bad mofo, its not the best, and i argued wit him for about two minutes then he walked off all stupidly. and didn't come back to see if i wanted to buy anything. guess i hurt his feelings.
