i think the only thing that will give wii a boost is advertising. what do u think?

I'd look at what the 360, PS3 and Wii have to offer then choose one rather than go by advertising alone. But you're right because alot of people wouldn't bother. Sure they'll advertise lots near the release date.

From the video clips on IGN the Wii looks really cool.

Yeah there's a million ways Nintendo can go about marketing this thing.
Hopefully it's a good marketing strat. The 360 has just been games and logo following with "jump in" slogan. I think the PSP marketing is weird but kinda intriguing. But I really don't remember much Nintendo advertisements. Like in general. Gamecube, DS, I just don't recall ever seeing an advertisement for them in the States.
Maybe Japan gets most of the attention.
