I recently downloaded CSI (series 5) from http://tvunderground.org.ru and successfully bunt it onto DVD using NeroVision Express 3.1.0.25 and it works perfect in my DVD player, but other series do not.
DVDs of episodes from 24 (series 5) & The Sopranos (series 6) both start fine, but as the episode continues, the audio drifts from the video. By the end of each episode the audio is delayed by approximately 5-10 seconds. (Longer for episodes of 24, compared to The Sopranos)
I?m from the UK, so my first thought was the fact that the episodes are 23fps, and I am making a PAL (25fps) DVD. But the CSI (series 5) files are 23fps and NeroVision Express can encode them perfect with no audio lag, so this doesn?t seem to be the problem. (NeroExpress settings; 4 episodes per DVD, PAL, extended play bitrate, 2-pass encoding, CCIR-601 D1 resolution)
From what I can see (correct me if I?m wrong) but the properties of the avi video files from CSI, 24 and The Sopranos are pretty much all the same (fps, dimension, bitrate). The only difference I can see is that CSI is encoded by SAPHiRE, whereas 24 and The Sopranos are by LOL. I can?t see how this would make a difference, but it?s only the thing I can see that is different between all the files.
I?ve tried to look for help on the Nero pages, but it seems they don?t offer a great deal of support for avi files of movies and tv series downloaded from the internet?.. I wonder why? :)
I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before and know how to remedy the problem, or if any one knows of a better program than NeroVision Express to create DVD that have menus.
