xbox live coming to pc??

hay guys i was looking around the xbox live market place and i downloded 'e2 06: backstage pass -- friday' and in that they were saying that games that come out on the xbox 360 and pc ane cross console online, so bacically you could be playing halo 3 on an xbox 360 on xbox live whilst playing against a person using the computer.
wow so this s known as the first type of games that are cross console online.
but i think its a bit stupid because oviouslly now your going to have to get an xbox live gamertag on your pc to play online and for that you will have to pay so goodbye free online pc games.
but i dont get it 'XBOX' live is for xbox not pc's. but there again i dont mind im just here to tell ya all.
p.s- if some guy on a pc comes in any of my lobbys i wll boot him and get bad feedback!

yeah this is a great feature, i think the first game to use it is going to be huxley or shadowrun, both excellent games.

People on X360 are gonna have a seriouse handycap when it comes to FPshooters. Keyboard/mouse vs controller. gonna suck for the console peeps.

horrible idea i'm totally against it. this will mark the end of fun fps online because all x360 players will get OWNED! if they do this i will be DONE i always say that i'll sell my x360 but if they do that im done. i'm selling it. also people can mod computers.

the service is for xbox 360 users the service is not for pc users what it is called is xbox live aware anywhere what the service does is it allows you to keep track of whos online in your freinds list and beable to chat with them on xbox live it will also send you e-mail messages when your freins are online and will send info to your cell phone as well
the service is not xbox live for pc it is just a messenger service for the 360 via pc
and also if you would have watched the e3 presentation on g4 tech tv you would have found this out
but don't worry you have to have windows vista in order for this feature to work
and im also sorry to say microsoft is finally getting rid of support for windows 2000 and windows 98 once vista comes out

yeAH I JUST WATCHED IT AGAIN SHE SPECIFICALLY SAYS ' SO I WILL BE ALLE TO PLAY A GAME ON MY 360 AGAINST MY DAD WHOS ON THE PC' AND WHAT ELSE WAS SAID'THIS IS THE FIRST CONSOLE GAMES TO HAVE CROSS CONSOLE ONLINE FEATURES SO YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PLAY FROM PCX AND XBOX ONLINE TOGETHER'

no thats wrong, it is about pc vs xox 360, that what they said, i am 100% sure. also drcool how do we know that pc wil own maybe they wil not, i know that if i played halo 2 i would not get owned by pc. also this only goes for games that come out for both pc and xbox 360, also i heard on ign somewhere that MS have found a really good way of making the playing field even.

probaly pc gets a handycap on certain games. i have to be honest it is so much easier for aiming and shooting on pc the downside is the keyboard part its unpratical but the mouse is great for aiming and ect.

people can run trainers on the pc and mod the games for pc...so im wit u dr.cool if they do this cross console thing then i am forshure making a trip to game stop with my 360

well it wont be evry game, only specifically designed games
and it wont be with every version of windows i think
from what i saw its a built in feature for vista, we'll just have to wait and see
all you people are so pesimistic, i bet even if some company designed a super console capable of doing all the the wii, ps3 and 360 can do you would still find faults in it.
there are endless things companies can do with gaming consoles but the fact of the matter is they can never satisfy everyone. So learn to appreciate the fact that they are actually trying new things and not just sitting on their ass doing the same old stuff

Forza 2 has a seriously cool feature...
You can buy a car in the game, then transfer it to your PC and give it a custom paintjob, transfer back to your 360 and then race it!
Oh, and you can also send it to your mobile and show it off!

ok but remember theres a way around everythink so even if ms have found a way to stop modding there will be a way around it like softmodding (but on pc).
anyways yes we are a bit weird cozall we seem to do on afterdawn is complain but hey!

i bet during th cross there will be ALOT of lag. and it's possible that people with pc will get host more than people with x360.

from the e3 presentation it seemed like all you have to do is have 1 gamertag you pay for and then you can use it anywhere
such as pc, 360 or mobile phone

Yeh, thats right. Also, they said they will all interact in different ways. E.g. you can read your messages on you're phone/PC/360.

thats quite cool then accept do you reacon people without a gamer tag could just play the games with other people on pc? coz otherwise thats unfair pc games online have always being free (most of them anywayz)
asked a few friends today and they all said the same; 'p is the easiest thing to mod on no matter what game', and they also said that it will still be easy to mood in windows vista because of the e traditional way windows is run, if windows was only allowed to run one program at once it would make it ahrder but ofcorse its not so under a few weeks of the first windows vista games there will be a modd ok. and thats the way it is.
i am nither complaning or happy about it ok

what do you mean pc gamers will pwn console gamers?? ide fuck up a mouse/keyboard using mother fucker anyday....
pc gamers would be the wone with the handicap!
its alot easier to aim with a controller rather a mouse/keyboard

no it aint mouse it a lot better for aiming because it can pick up better movement, controller cant that much.
