Creating chapters automatically?

Greetings. After I checked the option to "create chapters automatically", I went to the preview section before I burned my dvd using Nero 7. However, when I clicked one main episode (of the show "24"), I attempted to click the "next" button to go to the next chapter, but nothing happened. Is this normal? Will the chapters be created automatically into each episode when I burn it? Any help is appreciated.

Did you go to the create chapters page and see where the chapters were? I don't know what standards Nero uses to create the chapter marks, but if there is no definite break, it may not see one.

If you don't want to create the chapter marks yourself, you might try letting NV4 find scenes for you. You can set standards as to minimum scene length and such. Then you will have a divided video and probably a chapter mark for each scene. I haven't done any experimenting, so let us know if it works that way.

Once you have chapter marks, you can delete or move them if they aren't where you want them.

Nero does create chapters for you when you choose that option. However it creates a new chapter every 2 minutes and I don't know of a way to maybe extend the chapter a little longer. You said you went to the preview screen to check however it doesn't work that way. Just burn your movie and chapters will have been created once the project is done.
