Which are the PS2 essential games in your opinion???

I have a satin silver PSTwo since Jananury,and throughout this 4 months I've played some great games (such as Gran Turismo 4, Tourist Trophy or GTA San Andreas) but I know that there are some "essential" games that I haven't tryed out.
So I want to know which are those games in your opinion.

metal gear solid, all of them.
Get MGS3 subsistence when and if you get MGS3. MGS2 and MGS1 can be bought for less than $7 each at most used game stores.

Final Fantasy X, MGS series, Devil May Cry 1+3, Onimusha series, Ico, Kingdom Hearts and Castlevania Lament of Innocence. Definitely consider most of the Platinum games - they're there for a reason. If you're into fighters get Capcom Vs. SNK Pro (good fun with mates) and the Tekken series is worth a look. If you like platformers then give the Jak series and the Ratchet series a go. Honestly there are way too many games to list!

I would recommend dbz budokai 3, Soul Caliber 3 and Black, all damn good games in my opinion. Like Timmy said, so many great games out there, hard to pick the "essentials."

An interesting game is Rez, if you're up for something a bit different. It's a shooter, and the way you play it makes it sound completely different. If you have some decent speakers it would be worth a look - trust Sega to some up with something like that lol.

God of war, resident evil 4, Gun, metal gear solid 3, gta 3 and up, fight night round 3, kingdom hearts 1 and 2, the godfather, need for speed most wanted, midnight club 3 dub edition remix, devil may cry 3 special edition, all final fantasy, are just some of many really good games.

Altered Beast 2 is hard to come by, is it any good (Just PAL, correct) I was in love with the 1st Altered Beast, if the 2nd is any good let me know:)

Virtua Fighter 4
The prince Of Pursia series
The Metal Of Honor series
both Brothers In Arms
both Call Of Duty
The Need For Speed Underground series
Timesplitters 2&3 were both real good
The Splintercell games were great
actually there are so many good games out there right now if you have a limited collection
If you are going for the Grand Theft Auto series i suggest you start with GTA 3, then Vice City, Then San Andreas.
3 will of course not be quite as good as the newer 2 i mentioned but it is what most people who play the series started with. IT is still an great game.

If ur lookin for more good rgs, the shadow heart series is very good. Just started playing the 1st in the series, definitely worth picking up
